Meet Our principals
Tamiza Z. Teja, MPH, CPH
Tamiza is the founder and principal of Fusion Performance LLC.
She has provided expertise in health-related emergency management to public health departments as well as hospitals and clinics, and has served as a liaison between them. She was on the project team for the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS IV) revision, and a contributor to the Public Health Incident Command System guide.
Tamiza has served as a subject matter expert and provided technical assistance on a variety of issues including CBRNE/ natural disasters, pandemic influenza, mass fatality, plans, trainings, drills and exercises, and other issues related to emergency management programs. She has worked with local and state entities in urban and rural areas.
She has also coordinated several trainings, workshops, exercises and conferences, including developing the participant materials, maintaining registration, coordinating speakers and content, and managing on-site logistics.
Tamiza holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Food Administration (nutrition emphasis) from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master of Public Health in Community Health Sciences, focusing on international health and disaster public health, from the University of California, Los Angeles.
She is a member of the Charter Class of the National Board of Public Health Examiners Certified in Public Health credential, and carries the new CPH designation. The NBPHE was launched to demonstrate that graduates from CEPH-accredited schools and programs of public health have mastered required core and cross-cutting competencies and to address the need for greater recognition of public health as a health profession.
Her interest in international health and disaster relief stems from her service as a Maternal and Child Health Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco.
She is active with her alumnae chapter of Delta Delta Delta, and has served in several positions including President. Tamiza is also active in community philanthropy, and hosts several benefit parties throughout the year.
